The culprits trick is fucking insane !!;?;!:+'!;'!!!! How on earth would anyone ever think to do that it's so dangerous too!!! (But also how many poisoned ice cubes did she put in per drink. Cuz if she put in more than 1 then the guy's cup should've have traces of poison. If he just eats 1 cube then he'd die, leaving the rest of the poisoned cubes to melt and get on the cup. And what if he didn't get to that one poisoned cube (or cubes) quick enough and it melts into the cup before he eats it? And how'd she know the guy would drink all the drink before the ice melts. like that dude must've been chugging it. And, if she had the same type of ice, how would she have known which cubes were poisoned or not. And knowingly drinking a drink with poisoned ice and even PUTTING THE ICE IN HER MOUTH!!?!!?? She really must've hated this guy to even risk her own life. Also couldn't she have been able to tell it's soda from the sound cuz the fizz makes a little noise.)

Not really. Fizz is difficult to hear since the hall was full of people. When I go to the theater and take cola it is virtually impossible to tell if it is carbonated or not

I dont. Especially since the lid is sealed. You cant hear anything because of background noise and ice coffee has almost if not any scent.

wow, you're either pulling my leg or you're both deaf and nose-blind. coffee is coffee, no matter if it's hot lukewarm or iced it smells like coffee. i make it in my house around 3-5 times a week, i do use frozen coffee instead of ice cubes like the vendor did in this episode but there's no difference. as a matter of fact i've got a cup of it to the right of me, as i'm typing this. also, background noise? sure, there's a few folks murmuring but this is a high-school play... maybe a baby or little kid crying now and again... but they can't afford tons of background music... unless one of the music clubs/school sponsored bands is providing it to the drama club for free and performing it on-site live. also, i doubt they've got recorded ambient noise for birds chirping, water flowing, ... seriously have you attended many plays at all? they're not like movies. plus, more than once in the episode they mention how the lids were opened on those folks' cups. they can't attempt to put the gum sugar or cream in the iced coffee without removing the lid. and, they can't find out that 'oops i mistakenly got cola' without removing the lids either. so according to you... they 'magically found out' that their coffee was actually cola. because if they could not tell it was cola, they would have poured the gum sugar and cream into the cola automatically.

like i toldZesty the SMELL of the cola vs the coffee would be different! ;) hearing the fizz of the carbonation wouldn't be all that hard. i hear mine all the time at theaters.

put the poisoned ice cube at the TOP of the cup and it probably won't get mixed up with the rest too easily. if you use one cube it won't be hard to feel the plug with your tongue if you know what you're looking for. also, if you use a bigger cube than what's in the cup normally. remember, the poisoner is an alumnus of that high school. the ice that club is using for concessions is probably from the school's kitchen ice-maker. so i bet that ice is a pretty uniform shape and size when made by a machine. what do you want to bet they've been using that same ice maker for decades? finding a slightly larger sized cube-tray wouldn't be too hard. what would suck? is if that school used hollow cylindrical tube forms in their ice machine. THOSE would be hard to re-create at home.

Ah, I always thought Shinichi's suspicion of the culprit knowing it was soda was a bit iffy, cuz there's gotta be some way they could feasibly know, but I'm glad that's just a smaller suspicion and not actual evidence

That's true! I still think that guy must've drank that drink at lighting speeds in order to eat a few cubes after without having the ice melt too much, although that might just be because I'm a slow drinker...And the culprit probably could've found that poisoned cube first before even drinking to reduce the risk if it melting
(I went back to the last episodes and the ice actually looked like crushed ice, and there didn't seem to be too much left in the cup, which would make things a whole lot more complicated, but that could just be some misconception with animators or something)

Can someone explain me this episode

Shinichi said someone must have bought a drink and another girl and posioned it to kill the person and apparently shinichi got his body back for a while as hibari is disguising as his kid counter part to get ran to fall for this .I mean after two times you think she would be quite dumb or find out why shinchi had to keep this secret but I assume those black guys need to get her in order for Conan (shinchi to tell the truth)
